Sizzling looking television and Bollywood actress Barkha Bisht has been successfully marking her re-entry on small screen with Sony TV’s family show Parvarrish. She took a gap of two years owning her motherly responsibilities.

She returned on the small screen replacing Rupali Ganguly in Parvarrish, who had quitted the show due to her pregnancy. Now, Barkha is carrying the role effectively and she says she has no qualms about playing mother to three children on the show. She is seen wearing sari which gives her a feel of comfort.

She elaborated that she had to try on several dresses and looks in order to look convincing as the mom. She says, “The show also went through a leap and our family becomes richer over the years. We also tried out salwar kameez and dresses as new-age moms wear western clothes and salwar kameez but since I have a thin frame, I looked too young for the part. We finally settled on a sari.”

Barkha has done an item song in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rajneeti. She has also finished shooting for Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer Ram Leela recently and avers that TV is a woman-centric medium, “I wish TV would have more variety, more scope for reality and not be regressive.”
