Time to show dark side for Rucha Gujarati!

From a child artist to full-fledged actress on television dailies, beautiful and talented actress Rucha Gujarati has come out a long way crossing numerous hurdles coming in both professional and personal life.

As a child artist, she played in movies like Dancer, Shabzade, Hum Hain Kamal Ke, Kanyadan, and Shikari. She shot to fame after featuring in popular music albums by Gurdas Maan, Pankaj Udhas, and Vaishali Samant. And about her daily serials, Rucha has done some memorable roles in shows like Bhabhi (as Bhabhi), Kkusum, Rihahee, Waaris, Waqt Batayga Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya and Shh Phir Koi Hain.

Well, it seems after tasting success as protagonist, Rucha will now name herself as a versatile actor as she is going play vamp in Zee TV’s new show Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se. She will play a menacing sister-in-law to the female protagonist in the show. She says she has never played such a character earlier.

"I play a character called Mahima in the show. She has a very overpowering and overshadowing nature. She is a decision-maker and knows how to get her work done in any possible way. Basically it is a grey character and I have not played such a character till date,” said Rucha.

She was speaking at the launch event of the show. “Playing this character will be a challenging experience for me as I will get an opportunity to emote a different emotion. So far I have only played (a good) bhabhi, girl-next-door or a gullible or simple, docile girl. So somewhere, it is a wonderful opportunity for me and I will give it my hundred percent,” added Rucha.

Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se is premiering on August 12 at 8.30 pm.

Arhaan and Mansi Shrivastav are set to bring new love story through Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se!

Pratigya fame Arhaan Behl and Rab Se Sohna Ishq’s bubbly Mansi Shrivastav are roped in to play lead couple in Zee TV’s new love-story Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, which is going to premier on 12 August at the primetime slot 8:30.

It is a simple story of two individual personalities, Raghu and Shivani. The protagonists from two different backgrounds had different dreams while destiny etched out quite another plan for them. The story outlines around the lives of two and suddenly binds them together with the design of destiny.
Talking about the character and why Arhaan Behl picked this particular role, which is completely different from his previous, he said, “I was only being offered roles which were similar to my earlier work. I didn't want to repeat myself. What attracted me to this show was Raghus's simplicity. He is an average guy and doesn't possess any hero like qualities. I play a simple, lower middle-class boy who is loyal and hard working. He is very down to earth and that is what makes him special.”

Playing female lead for the first time, Mansi Shrivastav aka Shivani added, “An opportunity to work with the very popular and talented Arhaan Behl and a veteran like Alok Nath is a huge opportunity for me. Shivani is like a princess in a fairytale who is pampered silly by her grandfather. She has grown in the lap of luxury and has always been protected by her grandfather from the grim realities of life. However, one day, her life changes forever!”

We wish you success guys!

Rucha Gujarati wants to connect to audience with her negative shade in Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se!

Beautiful and talented Rucha Gujarati is gearing up to widen her horizons with portrayal of negative character in her upcoming show Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se. She has been roped in to play antagonist opposite Vikas Sethi (Jaswant Rana).

Produced by Film Farm, the new show will air on Zee TV and features Arhaan Behl and Mansi Srivastav as protagonist. It will also see talented actors like Alok Nath, Akshat Gupta and Parneet Chauhan in prominent roles.

Rucha, who will essay the role of Mahima, said, “I have got an opportunity to play a very interesting character in this show. Viewers will definitely identify with Mahima because there’s one such character in almost every household. She is not evil but turns grey depending on situations. She is simply materialistic and power hungry. It's actually fun to play such a character as it adds another dimension to the story.”

Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se is a love story of Raghu and Shivani. Shivani is like a princess in a castle and Raghu is her grandfather's (Alok Nath) assistant who survives on a meagre income.

Talking about her role, Rucha elaborated, “Mahima has seen many ups and downs in her father's business while growing up and so, she has turned into a shrewd young women and a greedy opportunist. I have extremely fond memories of working with Zee TV in shows like Waaris and Ramayan. Can't wait to start shooting for this one.”

Hope you nail the art Rucha!
