I am single and ready to mingle, says Dimple Jhangiani!

Beautiful and vivacious Dimple Jhangiani, who is known for playing Nimrit on Life OK’s Amrit Manthan, is currently seen playing a bubby girl Minty in Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal on Colors. She said she likes being a part of out and out comedy show, which is far from all rona-dhona seen in her previous show.

She elaborated her happiness saying, “Till date, I have done characters which require a lot of rona-dhona. Those were typical saas-bahu characters where I had to wear a saree. This role is an out and out comedy role wherein I portray a very modern, young, bubbly and a fun-loving character called Minty, which is what I really am. I am excited that I am going to play my age. I get to wear western attire and colourful accessories, which is so like me. Earlier, I have always played aunty type characters. I am a very easy and fun loving person by nature. So I don't have to act or put in any efforts for doing comedy.”

As the show based on a fake couple, where both are guys, Gaurav Gera plays fake wife of Karan Goddwani, is raving on the roots of Colors. Dimple plays Minty, who will turn love interest of Gaurav aka Pammi in the coming episodes.

Talking about Dimple’s real life love interest, she said, “I am single and ready to mingle. I don't find guys who are very fair, handsome. Rather I like guys who are rough and have a rugged look. Good looks do not matter to me beyond a point. My man should be good-natured, presentable and a man with a personality of his own.”

Abigail Jain bags a vital role in Life OK's Savdhan India!

Savdhan India aired on Life OK has been winning hearts of viewers with bringing forth the real life criminal incidents and some extra ordinary performances.

And the show has yet again geared up to witness a love story of a girl, played by Abigail Jain, who made a mark for herself as Siya, in Channel V's Hum Se Hai Life. She has also done an episodic in Channel V’s youth show The Serial.
As per the sources, the plot of the forthcoming episodic will revolve around a love story and Abigail has been roped into play the protagonist. The episode is being produced by Baba Productions.

Abigail confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am doing Savdhan India. It's just for an episodic. I don't have any idea about the storyline as I am yet to meet the creative team. I will start shooting from tomorrow (4 July 2013).”

This particular episode is expected to go on air this week.

Rohit Bakshi turns vampire for Fear Files!

Not many television actors can play different genres on screen. But it doesn’t go the same with handsome and talented actor Rohit Bakshi, who recently played the role of a super villain Danny in Life OK's Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath.

Rohit, seen as protagonist of Kahiin Toh Hoga on Star Plus, is currently enjoying being a versatile actor. He is again roped in to play crucial character of vampire in an interesting episode of Fear Files on Zee TV. He will play the role of a vampire Tamas, who survives on the blood of living beings. However, in order to become more powerful he needs to suck blood of an eighteen year old girl. The episode is being produced by Contiloe Telefilm's.

Rohit confirmed, “Yes, I am doing the show and today is my first day on the sets. I have watched a lot of vampire movies in the past and it's quite exciting to play a vampire onscreen.”

Talking about negative roles, he is picking rapidly these days, he averred, “I am fine playing negative roles as there is always something new and challenging to it. Also I think maybe I am doing it quite convincingly that's the reason that people have been offering me negative roles. But yes I want to do a good and strong positive character sometime soon.”

Shalu to fail again to identify Prithvi and Ishwar in Junoon!

It is going quite murky to solve the identity of Prithvi and Ishwar (Aditya Redij) for everyone in Life OK’s Junoon- Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq, which is being produced by Beyond Dreams. 

The protagonist Shalu (Sara Khan) is leaving no stone unturned to bring out the real fact that Prithvi is actually faking to be Ishwar in the show. In the past few episodes, one could notice that she brought in Lakhan (Prithvi’s uncle – Mitil Jain) in the house to solve the identity crisis of Prithvi and Ishwar. But even this time, she will fail in her attempt.

Now, according to the sources, “Lakhan will tell Shalu that the person they believe to be Prithvi is actually Ishwar. Hence, back home Shalu will inform Prithvi’s family about her husband imposing as their son Prithvi. The family wouldn’t believe her and this is exactly when Ishwar will enter and reveal Prithvi’s childhood memories and every little detail that only Prithvi could have narrated. Thus, once again Shalu will be proved wrong before the family.”

While other side, female protagonist Meera (Mouni Roy) will also believe that Prithvi is her husband.

Rubina Dilaik to play epic role of Sita on Life OK' Mahadev!

Here is big news for the loyal fans of beautiful actress Rubina Dilaik. The actress, who was last seen as protagonist in Zee TV's Punar Vivaah Zindagi Milegi Dobara, has been signed to essay epic role of Sita in Nikhil Sinha's Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, aired on Life OK.

Yes, for the first time Rubina is going to attempt the mythological genre. She will soon take entry in the saga where Ramayan track has finally begun. Actors Piyush Sahdev and Kunal Verma will be seen as Lord Ram and Laxman in the show.

According to the sources, “The makers of the show were hunting for a face to essay the part for long. They felt Rubina fit the bill perfectly.”

Karan Mehra likely to enter in Balaji Telefilm's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain!

It seems TV actor Karan Mehra is quite lucky professionally. He is currently seen as a protagonist in Life OK's family show Amrit Manthan, which is under the scanner and is likely to end in coming month.

But, Karan who may get jobless after Amrit Manthan’s goes off air, is reported to have been approached to play prominent character in Sony TV’s popular show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, which is being produced by Balaji Telefilm.

If believe the buzz, Karan might be seen playing younger brother of Vikram (Jai Kalra). “His character will come down to visit Vikram's family and will eventually get married to Natasha (Sumona Chakravarti). Karan's character will have a grey shade to it,” said sources.

Karan, who is expected to start shooting for the show soon, said, "Yes, I have been approached but nothing has been finalised yet.”

Vineet Kumar to essay Bharat in Ramayan track of Mahadev!

Kunal Verma roped in to essay Laxman in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev!

The production house of Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, which is being aired on Life OK, was on the hunt for the suitable face who can essay prominent role of Laxman in the show. Well, the search has got finally over as the makers have found an actor to play Laxman in the much anticipated Ramayan track in this mythological saga.

As per the information revealed by sources, the tall and handsome looking actor Kunal Verma, who last appeared on Rajan Shahi's Havan has been zeroed on for the role of Laxman by the makers. After auditioning several actors Kunal Verma was roped in and sources said that he will soon commence the shooting for the show. However, the production house’s hunt for Sita is still on. Kunal said, "I am still in talks with the production house and nothing has been confirmed yet.”

It has already been reported that Piyush Sahdev, who plays cop in Humne Li Hai Shapath, will play Lord Ram. Apart from him, actors like Chak De fame actress Seema Azmi will play the role of the demon Tarika.

Action role for Varun Badola in an episodic of Savdhaan India!

Extremely talented and well known television actor Varun Bodola made a successful comeback playing an antagonist Vikram Thakur in Zee TV’s hit show Phir Subha Hogi. He won the best Villain award for the maverick performance.

Now, if one believes sources, the actor has signed a vital show produced by 24 Frames for Star Plus that is yet to be titled. But, before the actor entertains his viewers with a full-fledged role, he will be seen in an episodic on Life OK’s crime based show Savdhaan India-India Fights Back.

Sources revealed, “A new production house has now stepped into producing episodes for Savdhaan India-India Fights Back, named Shri Jagannnath International and is owned by some Mr. Aditya. Varun Badola along with veteran actor Shishir Sharma will feature in their upcoming episode where in Varun Badola will portray a cop.”

Shishir Sharma confirmed, “I don't know whether I am allowed to reveal anything about the show but I will get back to you by evening.”

Varun Badola also affirmed the development stating, "I have already shot for the episode before 2-3 days.” On being quizzed about project of 24 Frames’ next on Star Plus, he said, “I haven't confirmed anything from my side. There are many formalities and meetings before we actually sign the contract but as of now I haven't said yes to the makers.”

Falaq Naaz to play antagonist in Colors' Sasural Simar Ka!

Television actress Falaq Naaz, who recently appeared on Life OK crime based show Savdhan India playing a vital role, has bagged another important character to perform on small screen. She has been approached to play antagonist in Colors’ saas-bahu saga Sasural Simar Ka, which is being produced by Rashmi Sharma Productions and has currently been ruling on the TRPs.

According to the recent reports it was gathered that Khushi's (Jyotsna Chandola) character is turning a new leaf by turning positive in the show. Now, it seems that the creative team will fulfill the evil slot in the story by introducing new character in Falaq Naaz. She will play role of Jhanvi and enter in the Bhardwaj house with a wicked motive. She will give Roli (Avika Gor) and Mataji (Jayati Bhatia) a tough time.

Sources said, “In her own mind she is very righteous and brave. Unfortunately her energies are channelized in the wrong direction. In the direction of revenge and hatred which is why she is quite unpredictable in her behavior and is quite dangerous. She is survived only by a grandmother, who too was under treatment and hospitalized since many years.”

Jhanvi’s character will come across as a warm and straightforward person, but is in fact a person who is best when left alone.
